4 Tips To Holiday Party Success This Season

November, December, and January are the busiest times of the year for social gatherings. Between Thanksgiving and the start of the new year, there is so much to celebrate! While the thought of having a party may be exciting, it can also be daunting and stressful to have so many people in your house at once. What will they eat? Where will they sit? Is there enough parking? If you’re planning on having friends, family, and coworkers to your home for a celebration, here’s a few things to keep in mind:

Great Food

The best part of any party is the food! Instead of trying out a brand new recipe in the hopes of impressing everyone, it’s better to prepare some dishes you know you can cook well. Also, make sure to keep any of your guests’ special diets in mind. Offer a range of foods, from a meat entree to salad to cheese and crackers, so everyone can find something they like. And don’t forget the dessert!

If the thought of preparing food for a party full of people seems too daunting, there’s no shame in ordering pizza, bringing in a caterer, or pick up premade trays. That way, you can focus on preparing just one side dish you do exquisitely, or simply having fun with your guests.

A Clean House

Great food will only go so far if they’re eating off dirty plates in a messy house. Cleaning your house before a group of people makes it messy again is probably the worst part of hosting a party, but it still needs to be done regardless. Clean up any areas the guests will be eating in or sitting it (and don’t forget the bathroom!).

Again, if the thought of doing this is too overwhelming for you as you do other preparations, simple hire a cleaning service to ensure it gets done to a high standard.

Proper Seating

People don’t want to stand while they’re eating, even if it is a dish they don’t need utensils for. Put out all of the chairs you have, and ask your friends and neighbors for any of their extras. There are companies that provide chairs for events if you’re inviting far more people than you have seats. Depending on the weather the day of the party, you could put chairs outside for extra space so your house doesn’t feel too crowded with so many chairs or people.

A Dog Kennel

Not all of your esteemed guests are “dog people”. Even if they are, keeping an excited pet away from the food and the decorations you worked so hard on just makes sense. Hours of work cooking, cleaning, and preparing can be ruined in just a minute by a canine who’s just as excited about the party as you are. Rather than risking alienating some of your guests or having a big mess, it’s best to keep your dog safely put away, either outside or in a secured room.

A dog kennel constructed of top-quality materials will last much longer than your party. The various chain link fence dog kennels made by Central Fence are user-friendly, versatile and built to last, all at a low cost. If you’re looking for a safe and secure enclosure for your pet in the Swainsboro, GA area, contact Central Fence today. We can install a kennel before your big party, helping to ensure everything goes according to your plans.
