Your New Year’s Plans

2016 is right around the corner and you want to kick it off in style. Many people have traditions for the holiday and some just wing it. We’ve gathered up our favorite New Year shenanigans to give you a few ideas on what to do this year to ring in 2016 and make it the best year yet.

Bonfire

Especially with the way our winter is going, creating a bonfire is a great way to spend time in the great outdoors with your friends and family. Although it is late December, it won’t be too cold to sit in the backyard with a few snacks around the fire pit and chat about the year you’re leaving behind and the one coming up with your loved ones.

Good Food

Spend the day in the kitchen with your best friends trying new recipes or recreating old favorites. If you’re not in the cooking mood, order from your favorite take out places or restaurants and enjoy a day of eating your top meals to ring in the new year. You might have a resolution to cut out some dietary items so this might be your last chance to binge your favorite dishes.

Party

This could be a small gathering of your favorite people or include a large group of your good friends. Invite everyone to bring a dish and have a potluck style buffet for all to peruse throughout the evening. Put on some music and the pre-ball dropping shows to get into the New Year spirit.

Just the Fam

For those of you who are just content sitting at home with the ones you love on New Year’s Eve, you’re not alone. Set up a giant pallet bed in the living room with your favorite movies and snacks and curl up for the best movie night. Take a break to watch the ball drop and ring in the New Year and go back to your movies or go ahead to bed.

Which one will you be doing? Whichever you choose, enjoy the days off with your loved ones, family, and friends. Ring in the New Year and start 2016 off right!
