How Gate Access Panels Can Work for You

Ornamental Gate

James Bond movies don’t have to be the only ones with high-tech security! By installing a keyless access control to your business’ gate, you can provide peace of mind, less hassle, and an overall more modern experience for everyone who enters your facilities. Like keyless devices for cars that are used regularly these days, keyless remote panels, fobs, or cards allow entry into a building or area. Gate access control systems can be a convenient and secure solution for gated communities, apartment complexes, parking garages, or businesses with restricted areas. They are also growing in popularity for private residences. They provide homeowners with the ability to grant access to guests or service providers, such as babysitters, cleaning personnel and dog walkers, while keeping a close eye on who is entering the home and when.

Let’s explore several advantages to installing access control panels to apartment or condominium gates: increased security, access records, selective entry, the ability to program customized special features, and overall convenience.

Increased Security

Traditional keys become problematic for rental property owners is whenever they go missing. The biggest advantage of key fobs, and keyless entry systems in general, is that access can be immediately blocked if it has been lost or stolen. Card or fob access systems make it much more difficult for someone to create a copy. The electronics in them can’t be duplicated at any store like a traditional key can be cut. When a tenant moves out, simply program the system to deny entry to that fob or code with that particular PIN number.

Access Records

Keyless access systems automatically make a full record of who enters the building and the time of entry. This valuable information is helpful in tracking resident and visitor data in case of an emergency.

Selective Entry

When multiple copies of keys are required to grant access to a large number of people, these control panels are advantageous. They offer extremely customizable, secure access management. By programming the system, you can easily allow access to particular people or restrict entry during certain time periods.

With rental property use, owners can grant access to cleaning or landscaping services, for example, during just a few hours of the day.

Convenience

The access system will just need to be reprogrammed to block the old key fob, access card, or code and grant access to the new one with a new key ID whenever the tenant moves out.

Plus, with keyless system, you can avoid the expense of having to replace keys and the inconvenience of reissuing new keys each time one is lost.
