Why Your Next Fence Should Have an Automatic Gate

Why Your Next Fence Should Have an Automatic Gate

When it comes to time to replace your existing fence, consider the benefits of an automatic gate. Investing in a high-quality fence is a great idea. Including the automatic gate not only increases your property’s overall value it also increases its security potential and adds an extra level of convenience. Not only that but automatic gates are also aesthetically pleasing and will add curb appeal if you ever choose to sell your home.

Added Security

Automatic gates are less likely to be compromised by intruders and are often equipped with alarms that will trigger lights or sounds if someone tries to manipulate the switch or disengage the latch. Unless the gate is triggered to open through the system, it won’t move or give way. An automatic gate can be the finishing touch that sets off your new fence, providing top of the line security by preventing intruders from gaining access to your property.

Convenience

Having an automatic gate means no more getting out of the car to open and close the gate. The gate can be opened with a device similar to a garage door opener and is often rigged with an alarm system that automatically locks the gate once you’ve passed through it. This is extremely beneficial during periods of adverse weather and if you don’t want to keep getting in and out of the car. It also makes it much safer if you are leaving or returning home after dark.

Automatic Locks

Gates that open and close automatically are normally equipped with locks that latch on their own without you having to get out and manually close them. If your gate is equipped with an alarm, the alarm will be set as soon as the gate latches shut. Having an automatic lock increases the security potential of the gate. They are less likely to be tampered with and much more difficult to try and break through.

Added Strength

Automatic gates also add strength and stability to your fence. Even the lighter weight gates that operate on a roller system are stable and unlikely to be compromised if they are hit or tampered with. Because automated gates move on their own, they can be constructed using heavy materials which means they are less likely to move or shift if they receive any type of impact. The added strength also allows for the gate to be more resistant to wind and weather damage.

There are many benefits to choosing an automated gate for your new fence. Aside from the aesthetics and all-around functionality of the gate, the added strength and security it provides offer a peace of mind that a conventional gate does not. Add the convenience of not having to exit and re-enter your vehicle every time you leave or come home and the picture is complete. Being able to remain inside your vehicle is a safety measure that allows you to stay in the comfort of your vehicle. At Central Fence we are dedicated to ensuring our customers with quality fences and quality fence gates. Call us today for a free quote at 1-800-221-6425!
