Deterring Vandalism At Your Business

The last thing you want to worry about is something happening to your business, least of all from a childish prank like vandalism. You’re already taking precautions to ward off thieves and other undesirables inside your company, but what are you doing to target vandals from getting to the building? Let’s talk about a few ways you can keep these types of people away from your business.

Keycards

One of the first things you should do to keep vandals and criminals out of your building is to block assess. Consider keycards, IDs, fingerprints, or any other way that keeps track of who exactly is getting into the building. While much of what you store outside is replaceable or repairable, nearly everything inside of your business is expensive, important, and generally imperative to keeping your company running.

Security

If your company is large enough to warrant a security team, we think it’s a great start to keeping your business safe. Having someone around all the time, especially during the night when most vandalism occurs, is a good idea for several reasons. Many criminals will choose not to hit your place simply because of your security team and the ones who do will likely get caught in the act.

Gate

To make it harder for potential vandals to attack your business, limit the access points. If your company only has one or two gates, there will be only two entrances to your building. And if these are well-guarded or only accessed by keycards, then this all but guarantees that your business is much safer than one that doesn’t have these precautions.

Fence

If you’ve got a gate, you need a fence to make it impenetrable. Consider a tall chain link fence that vandals won’t be able to climb and be sure that it’s well posted into the ground so that no one can dig under it. Criminals are looking for easy access so blocking off a quick way to get to your building halts the problem from the beginning.

A fence is your first line of defense against anyone coming into your Savannah area business. Talk to us at Central Fence today about getting your business the best fence for your needs. You’ll love the peace of mind and security that comes with one of our chain link fences.
