Why Vinyl-Coated Chain Link Fences

Chain link fences are some of the most common forms of fencing, well-known and appreciated for the added security and privacy they provide. Everyone knows that chain-link fences are primarily composed of chains, but there are many different types of chain link fencing — vinyl-coated chain link fences, for example. As the name suggests, this type of fence is composed of links that are coated in vinyl. But how does that make it a better option? Let’s look at the benefits of choosing one of these fences over other styles.

Durability

You know that chain link is a sturdy fencing choice, but with the added boost of vinyl covering the links, a fence is made even more stable. It prevents rust and damage to the links and hinders corrosion. A chain link fence that is coated with vinyl tends to last longer, needing less maintenance or repairs. Your vinyl-coated fence will be more durable than one without a vinyl coating and last for years to come.

Appearance

While other chain link fences might have an “industrial” feel to it, vinyl comes in a variety of colors and can be matched to fit your house’s appearance and style. A vinyl coating gives your fence a more polished and sophisticated look — a new take on a classic fence style. You can choose from natural colors like green and brown, standard colors like black and red, and more.

Price

While a vinyl-coated chain link fence will certainly cost more than a galvanized fence, they’re both relatively cheap. Other materials, like wood, vinyl, and aluminum, although more popular for residential areas, might cost more than a chain-link option.

Vinyl-coated chain link fencing is a great fit for your home. You can customize it to match your home’s aesthetic with ease, keep an attractive, yet secure yard, and keep your budget to a minimum. Chain-link fences provide many such assets for the home package.
