It is not about projects or jobs
Central Fence was established in 1964 by Robert Hutcheson. Robert had a commitment to perfection, which was evident in the particular care and craftsmanship he poured into fencing and construction. Robert married Marie in May of 1976. Marie and her four children, Cliff, Andy, Mike and Kristy, working alongside Robert, transformed the thriving sole proprietorship into the family business that they are today.
In 1996, Robert was lost in a tragic hunting accident. In the same week, Mike, a lead Foreman and, of course, a beloved son and brother, was killed in an automobile accident. Despite these grievous losses, Central Fence continued to flourish, with Andy managing the day to day operations for his mother, Marie.
The company was incorporated in 1999, and Andy acquired the ownership of the corporation in 2001. Andy began his career as an installer and has gained experience through installation of numerous types of residential and commercial fencing. Today, Andy quotes constructions projects and manages the company and it’s 30 plus employees. In March of 2010, the business became WBE (Women's Business Enterprise), when 51% of the ownership transferred to Teresa H. Dixon, Andy’s wife. Teresa has over 20 years’ experience with the company. Their son, Chesley, is the General Manager and together Mom, Dad and Son lead Central Fence into a new chapter, but one that will always stay true to Robert’s and Marie’s vision.
