Add a Stylish Fence to Your Yard With These Art Inspired Designs

Your fence is great at protecting you, creating a boundary around your property, and adding security around your home.

But all of that doesn’t mean it can’t be a stylish fence. Most fences are elegant on their own but if you’re looking for a decorative and artistic way to spruce up your fence, we’ve got some ideas.

Green up your fence

Turn your fence into its own garden. Adding climbing vines that can weave through the links or posts can make such a difference in appearance.

Planting bushes or trees around the base can create an additional barrier and prevent a pet from trying to dig an escape route.

If you’re feeling extremely crafty, you might even be able to mount potted plants on the top of your fence for some aesthetic appeal higher up.

Turn the lights on

If you have a great backyard with plenty of seating, you’ll definitely want to spend as much time outside as you can.

With lights intertwining the fence, wrapped around posts, or strategically placed around the fence line is the perfect way to be able to stay and enjoy your yard after dark without having to resort to bulky outdoor flashlights or spotlights.

Channel your inner Picasso

Think of your wooden or vinyl fence as a clean slate. Take a brush to the blank surface and create a mural, a scene, a swirl of designs, even just splotches to liven up the bare canvas.

With flowers surrounding the fence in matching colors to accentuate your paintings, you’ll have the prettiest fence around.

Spruce up your fence with a new coat of paint, some beautiful flowers, or a light show. Put your creativity to good use to decorate your yard with a stylish fence.
