The Best Year-Round Fence

When you’re shopping for a fence that holds up well year-round, there’s one important thing to consider. Mostly, with proper maintenance and care, all fence types can be used routinely year-round with little to no trouble. However, some fencing types are easier on the upkeep and we’d say they are the “best year-round fences” because they don’t require as much time invested in day-to-day maintenance.

The best option for a fence that’s light on the upkeep and easy on the eyes all year long is the vinyl fence – for a couple of reasons.

Materials that don’t respond negatively to weather

More so than other types of fencing, vinyl fences are built to withstand abrupt temperature changes. This makes them especially suited to constantly changing weather conditions. Wooden fences can be protected from rot and other temperature causing ailments, but vinyl fences don’t require much maintenance.

Similarly, ornamental fences can be protected from rust and other moisture related issues, but vinyl fences don’t require the extra step of protection against weather, making them better suited to long stays in the sun or rain.

Extra surface area for seasonal decoration

Vinyl fences have lots of extra room on them for hanging Christmas lights or putting up Easter decorations. Both wooden fences and ornamental fences usually have holes or gaps in the surface area of the fence that would prevent you from hanging large decorations during the holidays.

With a vinyl fence, you’ll have a large, usually open, fence space that works very much like a wall in your home. This makes it that much more simple to make use of all of the yard decorations you’ve accumulated over the years – and that much more easy to make your fence a “year-round” fence.

Easiest cleaning of all fence types!

Cleaning a vinyl fence is as simple as hosing it off. Usually, the surface of these fences doesn’t retain all sorts of weather related problems so there’s no need to rush the upkeep.

Whether it’s summer or winter, you should never have a difficult time keeping your vinyl fence looking shiny and new – they’re built sturdy like that!
