Choosing the Right Gate for Your Commercial Fence

It can be hard to make a decision on something as important as what kind of fence would be best for your business. You want a fence that not only keeps out unwanted guests, but also attracts and brings peace of mind to customers. The kind of fence that gives a reassuring level of control over who comes and goes can only be one thing: a commercial sliding gate.

Maximum Security

While traditional fences hold to their standard of excellence, only sliding gates suited with access panels, with their incorporation of modern-day technology, can provide you with the optimal level of security. Opening and closing a gate between certain hours leaves your business open to intrusion during those hours.

For places that deal with sensitive documents or materials, or simply don’t want to risk your product being purloined, a sliding gate negates the risk of a routine opening schedule. Sliding gates are best used where day-to-day customers aren’t typically allowed, such as the back entrance, where supply trucks come rolling in.

Equip your truck drivers with a special key fob designed to let them in, and you don’t have to worry about people straying where they shouldn’t ever again. The best part is that access codes can be customized and changed as needed. For example, if you don’t want someone with a key to get in after-hours, simply disable those fobs without the clearance for it when your workplace is closed.

Maximum Convenience

Even if you don’t want to incorporate an access panel with your sliding gate, sliding gates still boast incredible qualities. For the company that likes to be frugal with their space, sliding gates, unlike ordinary swing-to-open gates, only take up as much space as they extend to.

In contrast, swing gates need a wide arc of space reserved just for their being able to open and close freely. If someone misplaces a pallet or parks something too close, you won’t be able to close your gate properly, which could result in a security breach. You don’t have to worry about your gate swinging into something and damaging itself or the thing it bumps into, either.

A sliding gate will only ever take up as much space as needed, and is very transparent about that fact. To top it off, sliding gates have a sleek, professional look perfect for any business.
