Decluttering Your Yard

It’s just about time for spring cleaning and that means you’re sure to have a lot of organizing to do. As you make your lists and pick up essentials to help make the task easier, don’t forget about your yard. If your backyard is looking a little rundown or cluttered, it may seem like a daunting task to tackle. Here are a few tips to help you combat this chore and make your yard look spotless in no time.

Lawn Care

During the winter, there is hardly a need for regular lawn care so by the time spring rolls around, you’re likely to have weed patches and grass that needs a trip. Sometimes, just a good grass cutting can turn your drab yard into a beautiful space. Be sure to weed eat around your porch, home, and any other structures to get a nice and clean finish.

This includes cleaning up or even starting your own garden. If you’ve got a garden already, there’s probably weeds or other plants that aren’t meant to be there from a winter of neglect. Cleaning these out and getting your garden ready for a productive spring is a great way to make your backyard look that much more inviting. If you don’t have a garden, it’s not too late to plant one! Pick your favorite flowers or vegetables and plant them in a raised bed to keep out critters.

Organization

If your yard is cluttered with children’s toys, tools, or even your own toys, it’s time to organize those items and put them where they belong. If you have a tool shed or garage, these are the best places for them. You can set up bins and drawers to organize everything. This also allows you to be able to find exactly what you need when you want it and have a place to put it back when you’re done.

Consider a Fence

Getting a fence for your backyard can help keep it cleaner and more organized. You’ll be able to landscape around the fence or put in fun things like swimming pools and trampolines without worrying about people or animals getting into them. There will be less trash blowing into your yard and less outside noise coming through to your home.

Take some time during this beautiful spring weather and declutter your yard with these tips. Organize your yard items, plant a garden, and cut the grass to enhance your backyard with ease.
