Fencing for that Holiday Curb Appeal

Chain-Link Fence w House

The Christmas season is coming up! And with it, that means lots of decorations and Christmas spirit! Your fence is a vital part of your homes curb appeal, seeing as it surrounds your home and is the first thing people see as they drive up to it. That being said, adding some holiday decor to it can make all the difference when it comes to decorating for the holidays! Here are a few things you can do to bring that holiday spirit to your fence and yard and give your home that extra dash of oomph you were looking for to inspire holiday cheer to the whole neighborhood!

Wreaths and garlands are the perfect, easy choice to add to your fence during the holiday season. It fits the styling with the outside and can give a subtle yet beautiful touch of Christmas spirit to your fence. (especially if it’s white!) Add a touch to match what you have on your front door to tie the house and the yard together. Also adding a nice big bow to the posts will give an even greater pop to make sure that everyone who passes are filled with Christmas spirit when they see your fence!

Christmas lights don’t only belong on the tree, of course! We see plenty of people setting up lights all over the roof of their house, but adding them along your fence can add that extra Christmas touch. Run a string of lights around the garland hanging on the fence to make sure that sparkle and shine show off even more the magic touch you’ve added to your fence. It further connects your house with your yard giving your entire property a much more warm and welcoming connection for those family members coming to visit.

If you don’t want to go though the hassle of stringing lights along you entire fence line, or if you just prefer a more classic look, you can instead add a vintage touch to your fence by putting lanterns on the fence posts. These will give your yard that old, classic, at-home feel with the soft lighting of the flame illuminating your fence. Giving you and all passerby that warm sense of home and Christmas nostalgia that we all long for during this season. All whilst saving you the trouble of stringing lights. Though if you really want to get into the spirit, you can also add it along with the string lights and right below the bow, connecting everything together in one beautiful piece of art to invoke holiday cheer on all who see!

Finally, if you really want to take your fences Christmas spirit to the ultimate level, you can choose some of your larger ornaments and bring that spirit from the home out to the yard and share it with the world. You will want some larger ones so that they are very easily seen from the road. A great touch can be adding some stars on top of every other fence post to mimic the top of the Christmas tree. Giving your fence by far the best holiday spirit on the block!

One beautifully festive fence can make all the difference in the world! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
