Commercial Fencing With Sliding Gates

A commercial fence is important for your business. Not only does it keep trespassers out and prevent theft, but it adds a measure of peace of mind to both you and your clients; the value of this cannot be understated.

However, once you set up commercial fencing, you and anyone else you want to access an area should be able to get in easily, without a fuss. As such, it is important that you add a gate with the functionality you require. In that regard, a sliding gate is an excellent option.

Benefits of commercial fencing with a sliding gate

Obviously, there are several potential types of gates that you could invest in for your commercial fencing. A sliding gate, however, offers unique benefits that demand serious consideration.

Additional protection

A gaping hole in your commercial fencing will allow you to gain access to your facilities, but it will allow trespassers to get through as well (albeit in a limited way). A sliding gate, on the other hand, completely negates an unwanted person’s ability to simply walk through the un-fenced area.

Space saving

As you may know, a sliding gate is not your only option to fully enclose your commercial fencing. You can also use other options, like a swinging gate. However, no other fencing option provides the space saving capabilities that a sliding gate system offers. When it is time to open up, a sliding gate literally just gets out of the way, whereas a swinging gate would require you to get out of its way in order to avoid a collision.

The types of styles that can be used for commercial  fencing with a sliding gate

A sliding gate is not a technology that is exclusive to one type of commercial fencing. Here are all of the best types of fencing that can be used with a sliding gate, along with their benefits;

Vinyl Fence

Vinyl fencing is a great option for those who want excellent border protection with minimal maintenance, because this material requires very little work for upkeep.

Ornamental fence (non-iron)

Ornamental fencing is all about style. You can get this installed in a variety of shapes and colors to enhance the appearance of your facilities while protecting them.

Wood fence

For a natural look that blends in with the architecture and surroundings, a wood fence is an excellent choice. As with all fencing options, it also does a great job of protecting your perimeter.

Chain link fence

If you want ultimate durability and superb protection against intrusion, then you should definitely consider a chain link fencing solution. The chain link fence will stand tall without fail for a very long time.

Regardless of which fencing solution you choose, they are all beautiful and protective — and they all work with a sliding gate.

Can I add a sliding gate to my current commercial fencing?

Yes. If you already have fencing set up, you do not have to have an entirely new fence installed if you merely want to add a sliding gate. Instead, you can have a sliding gate installed into the fence itself. This will save you a great deal of time and money  (unless it is time for you to replace your current fencing anyway).
