Ask The Pros: Tips For Vinyl Installation

how to clean vinyl

Installing your very own vinyl fence can seem overwhelming and a bit intimidating at first. But with the right tips you’ll be well on your way to installing the perfect fence for your needs. Here’s some tips from the pros.

Purchase All Tools/Materials Beforehand

It is very important that you purchase all necessary tools before you get started. The last thing you need is to get on a roll and realize you’re missing an important tool.

Measure Properly

Before purchasing your fencing, you need to measure your land to determine how much you will need. This will prevent the possibility of purchasing too much or even worse, too little. When doing this though, be sure you are aware of where your property line ends and your neighbors’ begins.

Consider Cold Climates

It’s important to think about how the weather can possibly affect your fence. You should sink it below the first depth to prevent the cold from pushing the fence out of the ground.

Know Your Local Laws/Regulations

Another thing you need to do before installing your own fence is to do your research and learn the local laws and regulations about installing a fence. If you don’t do this, you will risk wasting a ton of time, money and possibly end up with fines.

Call 811

Before you begin digging, it is very important to call 811. 811 is the federally designated call you are required to make before you begin digging into your yard. After you call and inform the operator that you are planning to install your own fence, they will send someone out from your local utility company to mark the appropriate location of your underground utility lines. This will prevent you from hitting them and creating a disaster.
If you are still overwhelmed and curious about what else you need to know before installing your own vinyl fence don’t worry. Central Fence has a friendly and knowledgeable staff who would be happy to answer any questions you might have. We can also install the fence for you!
