Beat the Fall Allergies

With Fall in full swing, you’re likely to be feeling the effects of it. There’s nothing that represents the changing of the seasons like allergies flaring up. Sneezing, sniffling, coughing. So how do you beat the fall allergies while still enjoying cool fall nights and days in the garden?

Daily Allergy Meds

If you’re prone to allergic reactions, you may already be taking an allergy medication that is supposed to keep the symptoms at bay. You may just have one for occasional flare up but during the allergy season, it could be imperative to be taking one everyday to ward off and treat allergies.

Injections

If you’re a forgetful person or can’t see yourself taking a pill everyday, ask you doctor about injections. You may be able to get one or two shots that protect your throughout the entire fall allergy season with little side effects.

Prevention

Do you feel the worst when outside mowing the grass, tending the garden, or enjoying the night? Aside from the obvious solution of just not doing those things, try to get away from the allergens. While you’re outside doing your favorite things, wear a mask that covers your face and prevents pollen and other allergy inducing substances into your mouth and nose. Wear gloves and long pants if grass or hay makes you itchy and be sure to wear protective gear if you’re going to be outside for a long period of time.

Don’t let your allergies keep you inside this fall. Be able to do everything you love out and about with the literal headache.
