How to Choose a Construction Fence Rental Company

Construction rental fences

Construction companies use temporary fencing to provide security for their sites and to prevent non-employees from entering the site and getting injured. They are such a common sight that we tend to take them for granted but if you are in need of construction fence rental, you may not have any idea how to find a good company to provide it for you.

Choosing the correct construction fence rental company, like finding the right company to provide you with any goods and service, requires a bit of time and some research. A well installed temporary fence may well save you a great deal of time, money and hassle down the road. Here are a few tips on how to find the right construction fence rental company to meet both your budget and your needs.

Step One: Discovery and Outreach

The first step in choosing the best fence rental company is to contact several of them. Give them a rough idea of how large an area you need to have fenced, for how long, and for what purpose. Ask them to tell you which of their temporary fencing options would best meet your needs and how long it would take them to install it. If they seem unsure as to which type of fencing would most effectively provide the security your need or if their time for installation seem unreasonably long, you can check those names off your list.

Step Two:  Get an Estimate – In Writing

Now contact the companies left on your list with more specific details about the amount and type of fencing you need and how long you will need it for. Ask them to provide you with a written, binding estimate. If any company is not willing to do so, this should raise a red flag.

Step Three:  Ask for References

Now is a good time to ask the companies a little about themselves. Ask them questions that will help you evaluate their business:

  • How long have you been in business?
  • Have you provided temporary fencing for any site that I could see in person?
  • Do you have previous customers that I can contact?

Their answers will provide you with valuable information. A new business may not necessarily be a bad choice, but one that has been around awhile must be doing something right. Being able to review a site close to your location gives you the opportunity to see their work for yourself and previous customers can give you information about the quality and timeliness of their installation.

Any construction fence rental company that is unwilling to provide you with contact information for their previous customers should be avoided.

Feel free to also ask more personalized questions to learn more about the company:

  • Are  you a verified government contractor?
  • Are you a minority or women-owned business?
  • Are you a family operation?

Step Four:  Make the Best Choice

Once you have completed these steps, chances are good that you have whittled down your list of possible rental companies down to one. If the site you need fencing for is located in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina, we hope that Central Fence is on your short list.

Central Fence Company has been providing residential, commercial and temporary fencing since 1964. We are a family owned and operated company with four locations to better serve you.

We provide customer references upon request and we never start a project until both parties have a clear understanding about what exactly needs to be done, how long it should take and how much it will cost. Contact us to get a free estimate.
