By Teresa Dixon In Choosing a Fence

Should Your Apartment Complex Have a Fence?

If you own or manage an apartment complex, there are many things to consider when it comes to the safety of your residents. One major item to look into is a fence and there are several pros and cons to the situation. Let’s look at why we think your apartment complex could really benefit from a fence.

Your potential tenants will want to know that they’ll be safe in your establishment, that they have security features available to them. These are concerns that they would really like to take care of in their new home.

Some see a fence as a barrier, a way to sever ties to the community and separate yourself from the world and really frown upon the investment. This isn’t the case, though and it’s actually a great purchase for your apartment complex. Fences are simply a better way to regulate what and who gets onto your property.

You can set stipulations as you wish and require a code or key to get in or even use the gate as a privacy fence for certain times of the day. Creating a gated community for your residents is a great way to ease minds and be sure that they’re as safe as they can be on your property.

Deciding on the type of fence your apartment complex needs is one of the most difficult parts of this process. You may want a simple, cost-effective chain link fence or a classy ornamental fence. If you’re looking for a privacy fence, try vinyl or wood.

Also, consider how your chosen fence will look with its surroundings. If your complex’s door hardware or window barriers are aluminum, go for an ornamental fence to compliment it. Should your landscape include wooden garden boxes, match your fence to the frame.

We may be biased but we truly believe that a fence is the best decision for your apartment complex. Contact us today to find out which fence style is best suited for your property and for more information about the process.
