Temporary Fencing for Your Garden

A fence doesn’t always have to be permanent. This is true for a variety of fence types, including the one around your garden. There are several reasons why you may want a non-permanent barrier, like if you have guests over and don’t want them accidentally walking over it or if you want to keep deer out while the vegetation is still young. Some people assume there is one type of fence that is better than the others. However, this is not true in the fencing industry. Instead, the “best” one depends on why you need it. For example, the best kind of fence for a horse pasture is certainly not what you need for a temporary garden fence. Keep in mind some tips:

Are you trying to keep wildlife out? Fences work best when the animal doesn’t know what you are trying to protect. A hungry animal that knows food is available will try harder to get through any fence. Solid fences provide a visual block so they don’t know what they’re missing out on, so look into a vinyl privacy fence.

Know what animals you are trying to keep out. It should go without saying that a small fence will keep rabbits out, but not deer. On the other hand, rabbits will dig underneath but deer won’t. This is why it’s best to discuss your exact needs with fencing professionals.

If you’re putting up the temporary fence to keep people out while they are over at your house, make sure it is well marked. You never want a person to get hurt on your property. This could end in some very guilty feelings and even a potential lawsuit!

Be sure your fence is legal, though. Check local ordinances on building fences, even temporary ones. Large fences may block desired views or violate codes, especially if you are in a flood zone.

Whatever your reason for needing a temporary rental fence, we’ve got you covered. The benefits are endless and can really save you time and money along the way.
