There is always something going on in our precious peach state, and but it’s hard to know what’s upcoming — we always find out about really cool events after the fact and that is a real bummer!
To help our local communities, we’ve compiled a list of some of the coolest events taking place in our little corner of Georgia this month. Go forth and have fun!
The Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo
The 5th annual Statesboro Kiwanis Rodeo will be taking place on April 17-18. This awesome event will feature contestants competing in areas such as: The Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Calf Roping, Calf Scramble, and much more. The Georgia Renaissance Festival
This festival celebrates 30 years as Georgia’s medieval theme park. At this festival you will be all but transported back into 16th-century England. There will be circus style entertainment, characters in medieval costumes, rides, food, and more. This event will take place on April 18-June 7 in Fairburn Georgia. Click here for more information.
BBQ Boogie And Blues
Come boogie on down to the smooth sounds of Blues music and have a taste of some savory BBQ at the BBQ Boogies and Blues festival in Calhoun Georgia on April 24-25. On Friday this two-day event will feature a BBQ competition as well as a runway show where the latest fashions will be showcased. On Saturday, there will be a bike ride to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Each day there will be live music, games, crafts and food. Click here for more information.
Braselton Antique And Gardening Festival
This 12th semi-annual event will take place on April 24-26. Talented vendors will be available with antiques, collectibles, local artwork, outdoor gardening, and more. This event will take place at Braselton Park in downtown Braselton Georgia. Click here for more information.
Athens Twilight Criterium
The 36th annual Athens Twilight Criterium is a professional cycling race and festival. This race was the first nighttime race in the United States in over 60 years. This is a very popular event for all ages. It will take place on April 25-26 in downtown Athens Georgia.Click here for more information.
