March is one of the best times to visit Savannah, GA. Why? Because it’s St. Patrick’s Day!
Savannah has a ton of events in honor of the Irish holiday that are sure to entertain everyone. Here is a quick list of some of the events that will be taking place this month in the Coastal Empire and Low Country.

There will also be multiple stages scattered around playing all types of music for guests to enjoy. I can’t overstate the live music options — if you are a fan of music (and who isn’t?), you’ll really enjoy this part of the festival.
Tara Feis Irish Celebration
The Tara Feis Irish Celebration is a 24 year-old tradition — and a family oriented festival. This event will feature Irish musicians, dancers and performers. There will also be arts and crafts, games, magic shows, and puppet shows.

Tybee Island Parade
The 13th annual Tybee Island Irish Heritage Parade will be taking place on March 14 at 3 pm. There will be garishly decorated floats and awesome performances — so come early to save a seat.
And the best part is that the whole thing is that it takes place right off the beach!
Jasper Green Ceremony
The annual Sergeant William Jasper Memorial Ceremony honors a Revolutionary War hero whose parents came from Ireland. The event will take place on March 16 at 4:30 pm in Madison Square.

This amazing parade is one of the largest parades in the world. It has been going on for 190 years and attracts thousands The parade features floats, bands, dancers, Irish groups and more. Again, get there early, because the best places to stand are gone by 8am. The parade starts at 10:15 am on St. Patrick’s Day.
